dc National Mistletoe
The DC National Mistletoe event brought large crowds together in Washington, DC for a holiday celebration centered around community, performances, and seasonal tradition. Suspended 30 feet above Anthem Row, the 10-foot-wide National Mistletoe installation transformed the downtown corridor into a festive gathering space filled with live music, decorations, performances, and holiday activity throughout the season.
However, that was not the only reason people gathered together. On December 13, 2025, Downtown DC set out to make “KISS-tory” by attempting to break the Guinness World Records title for the most couples kissing under mistletoe at one time through the National Kiss Under the National Mistletoe event.
1,435 couples participated in the synchronized kiss beneath the installation, officially breaking the previous world record and turning the event into one of the city’s largest holiday gatherings of the season.
The National Mistletoe was hosted by Downtown DC
