Madi & Lily at Jesup Path: A Fall Couples Photo Story
in Acadia National Park
Picture this: It’s a beautiful fall day in Acadia National Park. The air is brisk, but the hike is easy, and the fall foliage is at its peak. Everywhere you look, the world is ablaze in the colors of autumn. You and your loved one wander this beauty with no particular destination in mind. This is the setting where Madi and Lily’s couples photoshoot unfolded.
Now, I’m the kind of person who loves stepping back and letting a photo session unfold naturally. I don’t want every moment to feel planned or posed. I want you to have time to settle in, enjoy being together, and forget about the camera for a little while. Madi and Lily’s session gave us plenty of room to do just that.
Jesup Path is a beautiful place to slow down. Its boardwalk winds through a birch forest and wetland before opening toward the Great Meadow. With the foliage at its peak, the whole path felt wrapped in fall color. The weather was lovely, too.
We wandered along the boardwalk, stopped to take in the scenery, and let the path lead us from one spot to the next. There was no need to rush through the session or make every photograph look perfect. The setting was already doing its thing, and Madi and Lily could simply enjoy being there together.
What I love about capturing couples is seeing the little moments they have for themselves where they almost forget their in front of the camera for a second. Walking side by side. Whether they share a laugh or pause to look around, only to look at each other and laugh again. I photographed Madi and Lily as they were together, with the colors of Acadia’s peak fall foliage all around them.
We enjoyed the trail, taking pictures, and stopping to enjoy the view. There really was no need to rush this session. The trail and beautiful fall colors did the work for us! If you find yourself in Acadia during peak foliage and want photos that feel natural, unhurried, and a little adventurous, Jesup Path is a lovely place to begin. Bring someone you love, take your time, and let the walk become part of the story. And if you’d like to make a photo story of your own, I’d love to hear what you have in mind.
Until then, keep finding time for the people you love—and the paths that give you somewhere to wander together.
