BAR HARBOR, MAINE · ON FILM

After work, down at the docks.

One of my favorite things to do in Bar Harbor was grab my Nikon N80, a roll of film, and head down to the docks. After work, it was a way to slow down, get outside, and relax for a little while.

I spent two summers working in town, and the waterfront became a familiar place to return to with my camera. I liked watching the boats and seeing what caught my eye that evening. There wasn’t a shot list or much of a plan—just a walk with a roll of film.

These photographs are a few frames from those walks. They remind me as much of that after-work routine as they do of Bar Harbor itself.
